Stefen checked himself. Was this not the very scenario he had considered earlier when he was looking for a distraction from Merick? Here the female was offering up the perfect relief for his blasted blue balls and all he wanted was for her to leave him be.

“Brother.” Alaric said from behind him.

Thank God! Stefen turned. “Alaric. I was just coming to find you. Have you been down here…” His words trailed off as if he had forgotten how to form them.

In the doorway stood a vision unlike any he had ever seen. Either Stefen’s hearing became mute or the room as a whole became still around him. Eirik stood as a solid protective wall beside her, complimenting her lithe frame well. Merick, by contrast to his imposing figure, looked like the most feminine creature Stefen had ever laid eyes on. Her light olive complexion looked just barely kissed by the sun, as if gold dust had been sprinkled over it. Her hair was pulled up and piled artfully atop her head with just a few selected strands chosen to dance freely around her face. Her lips were defined with a soft hint of rose that highlighted their fullness. The delicate features of her face seemed to play up the exotic mask and dragged one’s vision to her shining golden orbs dancing behind the black lace.
